Advanced Server

All the software needed to get the server up and running is pre-installed and configured. The basic facilities that are included with the server are:

  • Central E-mail pickup and delivery to individual workstations
  • Shared and private directories and web sites
  • Automatic nightly data and system backup
  • Web hosting for internal intranet
  • Web hosting for external web site (assuming a suitable internet connection)
  • Web based E-mail access for when you are on the road
  • Manages Dial up on demand, or always on (eg. ADSL/Cable) internet connections
  • Provides shared access to the internet connection, for web browsing, E-mail and other internet activities
  • Firewall 
  • Disc mirroring
  • Printer spooling and sharing
  • E-mail forwarding
  • User groups
  • Windows PPTP access. This allows remote Windows PCs (with internet access) to connect securely to the server in order to share files or pick up E-mail, etc.
  • Timed backup of server data and configuration
     

In addition to these basic features there are many more 'extra' packages that can be installed on the server either by us, or by you, that will expand it's functionality.

The server is easily configured and maintained through a web interface.
